Paw Pack Update!

Hello!  I mentioned last Wednesday that my birthday was coming up, and now it's here!  To celebrate, I took the weekend and today off from work to give myself a nice long weekend.  Mostly to celebrate my birthday, but also partly because I've been spending so much time on the computer lately that my eyes were really bothering me.  I don't want to spend too much time blogging today so that I can give my eyes an extra day to rest before getting back to work tomorrow.  But I think the last time I posted a general update on all my pets was back in January, and what better to blog about on my birthday than some of my favorite critters in the world, my pets!

Kitsune: First up is Kitsune!  Although not much has changed recently with him.  He's doing very well.  Happy, I think, that it's finally starting to feel a bit more like spring here now.  Yesterday my fiance and I took him on a nice long walk to one of his favorite places, the local park.  Of course that meant that his long hair got really really dirty so I had to give him a bath as soon as we got home.  I'm still debating whether or not I want to cut his hair short again, or see what it looks like if I let it grow out more.  I'll let you know what I decide!  I recently tweaked his feeding routine/supplements a bit but since I'm planning on writing a separate blog about that I'm not going to get into it on this one.  But, thankfully, Kitsune is his regular happy, hyper self.

Barnaby & Poppet: I guess this is going to end up being king of a boring update, since there's really not much new with any of my pets.  But, in this case, that's a good thing!  Both my rabbits are doing really well.  Admittedly I haven't really been spending a ton of time with them, other than the time it takes to clean up after and feed them, but they are completely devoted to each other so are never alone.  I just ordered them new food, and a new joint supplement that I'm going to try for Barnaby now that he's older.  I'll post about how that goes at some point.  Poppet is looking much healthier now that she's gained some weight and she seems to also have a lot more energy now.  Even when I don't spend a ton of time sitting with them, it always makes me so happy to look in on them and see them all snuggled up together.

Aurora & Miyuki: The gecko girls are both doing well.  For awhile I was spending a lot of time/money on upgrades for their tanks but I've kind of taken a break with that for now.  I still want to get them each a few new hides and stuff like that but they have everything they need, so I can slowly work on collecting more stuff for them.  Both of the girls have started to get more active again now that the weather is warming up.  Despite having heaters on their cages, they always seem to slow down a bit in the winter.  But they are both eating more again now.  Every time I go into the room that their tanks are in they both come out of hiding to where I can see them.  I'm sure they are just checking to see if I brought them anything tasty to eat, but it's still really cute.

I guess that's it for now!  Like I said, in this case it's good that I don't have any big updates on anyone, because they've all been doing really well.  Hopefully that continues for a very long time to come!  I'll keep you all updated on the goings on of my little pack.  But for now, I'm going to go snuggle up with Kitsune and get back to my book!  I hope everyone has a great week!
